It has been a very long journey, but it's finally here, Warrior's Quest VX demo version 0.4 is now ready to be played. For those who've played the demo version 0.2, you'll find this version to be a bit (or much more) different. The demo is now live on my itch.io page : dreamwhizz.itch.io
What's changed from v0.2, you asked?:
- Updated the font from "MV Boli" to "Berlin Sans Fb"
- Added a mine for mining jewels
- Added 2 more village festivals
- Addition of new girls for romance
- Addition of 3 monster girls to capture
- Addition of at least 5 more new scenes from the previous 10 to be unlocked

You're having problems seeing the game text? Just install the font Berlin Sans Fb from the "Font" folder in the game directory and you're good to go!

ReplyDeleteI played the game a little and I found two bugs
1: At 23:00, when you discover Julia's... work, If you pass the text too quickly, the game stops. Everything is stopped. The guy doesn't enter the bar, your character stays where he is, and you have to reset.
2: When Bec enters the inn (i don't remember the exact day, sorry), if you go in inmediatly after, the game stops... again XD. The graphics move, but you cannot move your character.
Aside from that, the game is more or less the same as in 0.2. Well I have to keep playing to see more things (I only played a few days), but the differences are good.
If I find more bugs or other things I'll publish them ;)
Wow, that was fast! The first bug I know how to fix, but the second one I haven't been able to replicate it. Hopefully I'll find whatever's causing that bug.
DeleteYeah, it's not that much different from the previous demo, but I hope it's the little things that makes it more enjoyable to play.

After plaiyng a bit more I saw a few typos here and there, but nothing game-breaking. An example is when you go hunting for stags in the hunter's missions. The notice says 7, but you have to hunt 6.
ReplyDeleteAside from that... the more frustrating thing is the probability of obtaining metals with the shovel.
Something else to point out is that triggering the events with the girls is a thing of luck. The first ones, you can more or less know, but after that, you're lucky to trigger them
Would it be possible to obtain a guide of the events with the girls? I obtained 5 hearts with 1 or 2 of them, but I only obtained one event for each girl. It's somewaht annonying trying to obtain the events and not knowing how to trigger them.
One thing you could do is create an item to know which item the girls likes (after triyng at least once) and clues to trigger the events.
For the metal ores, yeah I think I'll tweak it so there's a higher probability you'll get something.
DeleteFor the girls, they do tell you what they're planning to do on a certain day. I can say almost all the heart scenes are going to trigger if you keep track and know where the girls are going to be.
And wow, you managed to increase the girls heart to 5 within one day? That's impressive I must say XD
Found another bug:
ReplyDeleteThe sex scene with the fairy. When you go for round two, the first scene overlaps with the second. Basicaly, you see a static photo of the fairy and in the background the other scene playing.
As for the girls... I managed to obtain almost all of them. The only ones I don't have are Bec, Marion, Claire's last scene, Edith and Leia's last one. I really need a guide XD
I thought I fixed the fairy animation bug. Well it's fixed now ;)

ReplyDeleteIn the mission to collect 5 Green Herbs and 3 Monster Eggs in the area where you obtain the Harpie (Master Quest), in the left up corner (where you see what you must do), there is no text. Also, if you press Q, the number of Green Herbs you collect doesn't decrease if you pick one. With the eggs this doesn't happen; it only happens with the herbs.
Also, said quest cannot be completed. I obtained the requiered items, but when I submit the items, the hunter doesn't complete the quest
EDIT: After triyng to obtain other items I discovered that the counter for the green herbs decreases after obtaining mountain herbs. However, there are only 2 mountain herbs in the area, so the quest, as stated above cannot be completed.
I fixed this bug last time in my own playthrough, so I must have edited the wrong version as I keep many copies of the game in my PC. The bug should be fixed this time :)

In case you don't know, around the time you went on a hiatus a new forum popped up, f95zone.to, which is currently the biggest (english or translated in english) h games community with millions of users. If you want you can post your game there. The new thread rules are a bit specific but that is so things are properly tagged since there are thousands of games. Hope you have a smooth and not too frustrating development.
