Fixed some bugs, Demo v0.11!

Here's the download link for the demo v0.11: demo v0.11

I've added the "nap" feature, which allows you to take a nap and wake up at a certain time, changed a few things on the maps, and fixed the bugs (I think that the green checkmark thing is fixed).

What to look out for in the next release:
- jobs around the village to earn money
- more hunting quests
- addition of girls in the village

If you have any ideas on what might be fun to add to the game, don't be shy to share it! And don't forget to report bugs too. Thanks~!

  1. I have recently found out your game and started playing it about 2 weeks ago, and I must say that it is awesome, it is amazing what you did with the different events based on the time of the day, and the most awesome of all is that this "Scripted" events are not static but dinamic (I mean they happen when the game's clock reaches certain value and not when the player does something), it makes the world look truly alive.

    On the other hand all that programming must have taken you a lot of work, I don't know to what extent does the RPG VX helps you out with it, but still it must be a lot of code:

    -if clock = value0 --> move to spot x0,y0 then x1,y1, then x2,y2 etc

    -if clock = value0 --> String dialoge = going_to_work_dialogue

    -if clock = value0 --> can go through main character(true)

    And that for only one given time for one given character, it is AMAZING!

    At first I thought that was the reason for some characters to live in their bussiness, like Marion, but then you can enter the bar BEFORE the opening time and she still will have a different movement sequence and a different dialogue which ALSO changes depending on the "relationship level".

    As I said before it is a huge amount of work you put into this game and it is amazing.

    The other thing that I find really interesting is that, after playing the demo's 10 days, its really hard for me to guess what is going to happen to the story, so you were able to present many of the mechanics of the game, give an (extensive) introduction of the plot and still don't give away the main events that are to occur.
    You sir, are doing an excellent work!

  2. About the bugs in the game (I'll try to be as specific as I can, but I don't have a copy of RPG maker VX...yet):

    I found only 5 until now, and I have yet to test if the carpenter's upgrades work (Only the bed one because I don't think I can get to 10k gold):

    a) Cucumber seeds didn't yield anything (Or it isn't a bug and it just takes more than 10 days)

    b) When cucumber/potato seeds are given as gift there is no dialoge, they are removed from the inventory but I can't tell if there is any effect.

    c) The boiled egg cannot be eaten (Have to check if it can be given as a gift)

    d) Drinking beer gives an error (Because there is no image for the beer to go into the "possession" box on the top right, I think)

    e) If wine is eqquiped and given as a gift, it can't be eqquiped again UNLESS you eqquip it on a partner (During a hunt) and drink it then. It is as if when offered to someone (Tried Leia, Marion & Lisa) the image is deleted from the possession box but the game keeps record that a wine bottle is equiped, so it doesn't let you eqquip another one (Still lets you eqquip anything else though.)

    I think thats it, all in all I must say that the game is quite solid.

    1. Thanks for your feedback, and sorry for the late reply since I've been a bit busy this past few weeks. I'm glad you like how the game turned out, and yeah, there's still a lot of bugs that needs to be fixed. Working on the game solo is quite tiring, hopefully I don't lose interest in it. So, I hope you'll look out for future releases and I hope I don't disappoint. ;)
